Descendents - All-O-Gistics.

As shitty as this video is and a small snippet of the Descendents set at No Sleep Till’ Sydney (17.12.2010)… It encapsulates that the Descendents and Milo still have it!

This was one band I was convinced I would never see live so last nights hour set was the highlight of this year and maybe the highlight for a long time!

Black Wire Records

Sydney has this gem of a place called Black Wire Records - it’s a record store most of the time but it also functions as a gallery and even a small venue. The best part is that it’s not for profit and run by volunteers - emphasizing the point that not everything you do in life is for the money.

I have shot there a few times now and the latest set was of the Nice Guys. I decided to make the entire album black and white. Not something I do very often (actually never) - but given that there is only ceiling lighting here the colour versions were not as distinct…

So it’s been a mixed couple of months - I spent October not doing very much but spent September run off my feet with photos/writing. The next couple of months is going to a bit insane with a lot of shows/tour coverage. Also I am doing a massive camera/lens/lighting upgrade in early December. Keen!
I took the above photo of a friends band ‘Nice Guys’ at a pub show. It really reminds me why I pour endless hours into a ‘hobby’… Why this is so important to me!

You can check out my latest work in Renegades Empire or on Facebook.

Can’t believe it’s all over…

So its been a very busy few weeks and the 50 Lions/Blkout/Persist Tour and Hardcore 2010 is all over. Dangers/Graf Orlock came and went too…

I now have a shit load of broken gear - need a new lens and have to replace triggers before the next tour. Will be sending Blkout the bill <3 hahaha

Next tour feature will be Strike Anywhere/Paper Arms - I’ll be doing about 4/5 dates - taking a shit load of photos and blogging about the shows.

Photos and stuff will be coming soon - I am still editing and writing about the shows.

Dangers - Intense much?

earthwillshake asked: Loving your blog. Great photos.

Thanks heaps! Just posted up the latest photos :) x

The Loves Ones.

A set of photos from the only headlining shows that The Loved Ones performed in Australia.. I started to set up my lights during their sound check and there was a few good photos from my ‘practice’ shots so I posted them up as well. I was soooo focused on setting up myself and had a few issues with my second light/trigger that I couldn’t enjoy watching them practice BUT from the photos seems as though it was great!
